Natural Multimodal Authentication in Smart Environments

Natural Multimodal Authentication in Smart Environments

The INIT Lab has been collaborating with the Ruiz HCI Lab at UF on a project to understand user preferences, attitudes, expectations, and needs with respect to natural multimodal authentication in the future of smart environments. We also call this project the “Biometrics” project because it started with the idea to make use of multimodal interactions in a seamless and unobtrusive way for authentication and security applications, similar to how personal biometrics like fingerprints and facial recognition are used passively without needing explicit input by users. We are still in the process of preparing our first publication on our work in this area, so stay tuned!
